few refs were browsed through before the start, but didnt really follow any. major concern was to have an expanse with rich, inviting greens under blue, cloudy sky, all in all a natural, fresh feel. <br />

a mesmerizing mood for me whenever im there at that time.<br />
this has been done for the project as well as for my ownself, hence ive made some deliberate changes as per the needs, but largely, this is the scene of port we get to experience when viewed from one of the many points at the site.<br />
combination of real life sketches and drawings, consulting photos that i took and lots of imagination to give it a particular look i was after. <br />
photoshop, painter, tablet.<br />

i went for something moody, bearing a forlorn state, hence ive decided to choose the sun setting moments and have kept the ruins in a warm setting, which for me, adds a lot to the feel i was looking for. <br />

refs for foliage were consulted before start. treated very spontaneously and with a pure painterly approach and my goal was to make the spot to have a welcoming feel for the viewer. little distance would be cool to keep while viewing.<br />

 ive painted this using tablet, in artrage and painter. i did consult few refs for roses in the start, later few parts were painted from life and the rest, visualized/imagined, esp the mood. <br />
my own composition, where i largely went for that particular ambience, an environment and the still life.<br />
